Newspaper article from "The Bandon Western World"

Hi, I'm Sherri' Merritt, owner of "Merritt Lavender Farm" and known locally as "The Lavender Lady".  Land for the farm was purchased in November 2004 and by September 2005, all of the lavender was planted and growing.  Using organic growing practices, the farm currently has 800 lavender plants producing an abundance of fresh cut and dried lavender used in products made at the farm.

Discover the charming coastal village of beautiful Bandon-by-the-Sea and immerse yourself in a sensual lavender experience by visiting “The Lavender Lady” at "Merritt Lavender Farm".  Breathe deeply of the scented breeze, feast your eyes on the splendor of blossoming lavender, tantalize your taste buds with gourmet lavender treats, close your eyes and hear the thrumming music of honey bees and hummingbirds sipping nectar from each beautiful bud.  Awaken your senses.

We harvest lavender at "Merritt Lavender Farm" from late June through mid-October each year and welcome visitors for farm tours, photographs and browsing in our aromatic gift shop filled with lavender treasures.  Take home a beautiful lavender gift for a friend or to pamper yourself.

We ship via USPS priority mail for a flat rate of $8.95 and will accept Visa/MC beginning June 1, 2008.
